MobileTerminal not working

Today i tried to change the slide to unlock text n mess it up,now i tried to ssh but when open mobileternimal it flash for bout 2 sec then goes off ??I tried re-installing many times but still same, Any ideas why anyone??

without MobileTerminal i cant ssh into the springboard string

also does anyone got d stock OS4.2.1 springboard string
?? i mess that up big time :P

You do not need mobile terminal to ssh. As long as ssh is installed there should be no reason to need the terminal program it's all done from the remote machine. Ifile will work also for repairing the .strings file.

I tried without MT but got connect error ,i read from cydia that after install open ssh n MT open MT typed Terminal then su root for some crypto key then i can use winscp to ssh in .Or am i mistaken??

I've never had an issue with ssh and not having mt. If this was the case I think ssh would depend on mt and not let u install without it. Are you using windows or Mac? Are you familiar with ssh and how to use it? just curious.

There is a 4.0+ version of mobile terminal since the regular one doesnt work. I forget what repo it was on though.

Im using windows xp ,ive ssh into my phone a few timmes when im on OS3.1, i ve just update to 4.2.1 recently ( 3gs old bootrom)when i tried today i got error, hope u can help

What program you using? Putty or Winscp? It might be that ssh isn't updated for 4.2 yet check the change logs. Just tried ssh on a phone with 4.1 and no mt and worked fine. The default root password is alpine. Haven't tried it on 4.2 but I'll help as much as I can. The repo xcar is talking about is xsellize or sinful it's on both.

There no warez on those. Just cracked apps. Some of the apps are legit. It comes to morals when cracked apps are involved. Warez doesn't equal cracked apps.

Yes u can downgrade. Updates can take awhile so you maybe waiting longer than you think especially if it's not a mainstream app/mod.

Warez being an umbrella term for being stolen/cracked. Ok I'll except that. Sorry.

You can only downgrade to 4.1 if you have SHSH for 4.1

Since it an oldboot rom a custom ipsw for 4.1 will restore. If you want your shsh blobs use ishshit from cydia and save them. Must have jailbroken working phone for ishshit. It'll grab all of them for you.
