I was having the same problem, crashed on i y and v.
What I did was the following:

    Start the terminal and type:
    su
    dpkg -l > /tmp/dpkg.txt

This because I've yet to discover how to scroll up in the terminal for ios4.

Then you have to know what letters it crashes between. In my case it was yourtube which crashed my Y section. So I slowly scrolled from X and noted the last package right before the crash.
Then restart Cydia and start from the bottom and slowly scroll up, in this case from Z and take note what the last package you saw before the crash.
    Example:

Cydias first crash was on Yooho. Now, there's a lot of letters to go through so I check what package I saw before the other crash, it was Yyyx. Now I know that the culprit is between these two so now I just simply open /tmp/dpkg.txt with ifile or whatever you prefer and go through the list, it should be easy.
When you have found the possible package which causes the crash, simply open up Cydia and try a SEARCH for it, if it crashes you've found it.

Open up the terminal again and type dpkg -r packagename

In my case it was three packages from "fishbone" causing the crashes. I assume it was because I removed that source a long time ago.

    I hope this helps!

3rd time trying to post lol.. so hope this works.

    Hi! new here.
getting exact same when reaching "I" .. I've generated the txt file but didnt wanna paste the whole damn thing in my first post lol but am having trouble finding whats causing this. I've re-installed cydia at someone's suggestion, and even got rid of new version of **********, did nothing.

    Any advice appreciated pls.
Also, I can't seem to find how to get rid of several theme items in winterboard... I hope they don't all start with I lmao.
-Does it ship with some already? or should I look elswhere.

I was having this problem, and figured out it was the iSpazio source that was causing it. I went in and removed that source and no more crashing!

Thx guys you saved me alot of trouble.
In my case there where some sources that didnt install properly.
The source took forever to install so I hit the home button before cydia was finished and I should never had done that.
When I reentered Cydia everything looked fine, until I tried to browse the "Packages" and "Sources"

So I reinstalled every source that I´ve tried that day and then removed them again through Cydia and now everything works fine again
