cydia doesn't load help?

hi all! i need some helps with my jailbreaking and future unlock haha!

i have iphone 3gs 4.2.1! installed redsnow 0.9.6b4! when i click on cydia you only see a small page appear like 1second then nothing! i don't have ssh install or anything because i wasn't able to load cydia at all! can i try to reinstall redsnow?

Do all the steps that you did to jailbreak except when redsnow gives you the option to just boot tethered now or something like that click that and cydia should load after the phone reboots

It was as simple as that I forgot that part even if they talk about it on the dev blog thanks!
