My initial question was how do I reinstall cydia!?

Back to re jailbreaking, how will I know when lime rain is updates?

To use the others do I need to roll back my firmware?

I doubt limera1n will get any updates. All the others should have continued support. They all use the same exploit now though so it doesnt really matter.

As for reinstalling cydia I answered that already. You can try and run redsn0w and choose install cydia but it may not work and force you to restore. A restore is the safest course of action.

According to http://theiphonewiki.com/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page there are subtle, but significant differences mostly in the root file system area. Most casual users won't see (or care) but are important to the rest of us.
    Peace

Cracked apps have corrupted Cydia. I saw your other post and it's time for a restore. When u restore-try actually buying cydia apps because they don't poison cydia or the phone. Buying helps devs and brings updates. Jeez.

    I'm confused.

What are you talking about, and to whom are you talking?

I installed the cracked app to 'try before I buy'
I thought the whole idea if cydia and the jailbreak community was to share ideas etc and not to profit from it.
I understand devs need funding etc.
Maybe I got the wrong impression?

Incase anyone is interested I sorted out the problems.
To sort the error as seen in picture I used mobile terminal:
    cd/usr/lib/apt/method
    cp http Http
Fixed it a treat. It also seemed to fix some source problems. i.e some sources i added now show up.
As for the not being able to uninstall the app I manually deleted it and Intelliscreen and intellishared.
Searched for all files linked to it, deleted them, then modified and removed in cydia.
    Hey presto, job done.

That is completely wrong. To jailbreak is to allow you to have apps that Apple doesn't allow and get more use out of your phone. It is like if Apple had the only grocery store in the world. You had to buy items from them. But Apple hates geneticaly enhanced corn so they don't allow anyone to sell it in the store. Cydia allows those items to be sold there.

It is not about stealing peoples hard work; it is about giving you a choice away from a monopoly control of a market.
