not just you, I have been getting it all afternoon myself... it's a pain. But with the new limera1n release, what do you expect? Everybody's trying to reload their apps.

Whew.... I can deal with the "reasons" for the errors, just wanted to make sure it's not something wrong with my phone. Thanks for the replies!! :-))

Been up and down all day, all the hits keeps crashing the server.
There was even a warning on Cydia about being nice to the servers today because he was giving a speech and out of the area.

Cydia has never been down... Everyone's repos and apps still install. Specifically what's broken is sauriks payment verification server so no one can purchase paid apps until it comes back online which might not be for a couple days since he's on vacation.

I was told by SteathBravo and others that were on irc that the server was down, shooting 502 and 505 errors. But, Okay, I guess I may buy that. Why the warning on Cydia I would ask also?
I had the same errors too, I might add, when I checked because of posts I read on the forum.Last edited by blkcadi; 10-10-2010 at 07:58 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Servers down yes... "cydia down" no. Just bc sauriks servers are down does. It mean cydia is unusable.. Just people can't buy apps even though they are technically hosted on other servers.

Cydia would not even load Justin, not arguing with you, but I did see it myself and many members posted about it and as I said, others Mods and irc people confirmed, I'm done. I'm out. enjoy

All I know is I open cydia.. I get error 500 but I can still browse packages and install anything except paid apps. I'm not arguing either.. Just pointing out that just bc the home screen gives an error does not mean the whole Cydia app is "down" or unusable.

Actually he is right, cydia was usable. I was incorrect when I said it was down. The home screen was not accessible. Cydia itself was still functional.
