    The source for the widget is AccuWeather. Have you already taken a look at the configureMe.js file and had trouble? I think you will find it pretty easy to get going once you see some of the examples for the value.

    That is a standard feature in version 1.4.

    Version 1.4 - Created "iWeather" icon set. This is now the default for the widget.
    - Added Black versions of the stylesheets for better compatibility with light colored wallpapers
    - Added Top Row versions of the modes to put the widget on the first row of icons instead of the fourth
    - Slight code adjustments throughout the HTML and CSS
    - You no longer need to "swap" the iWeather3 and iWeather6 Wallpaper.html versions to change modes

    To move the widget to the top row, just edit configureMe.js and change the value that says 'iWeather3' for the Stylesheet:

    var stylesheetWall = 'iWeather3'

    // Choose a Stylesheet for the Widget. You have a few choices:
    //
    //- iWeather3 (white text) (the default)
    //- iWeather3_blk (black text)
    //- iWeather3_top (white text, first row of icons instead of fourth)
    //- iWeather3_blk_top (black text, first row of icons instead of fourth)
    //- iWeather6 (white text)
    //- iWeather6_blk (black text)
    //- iWeather6_top (white text, first row of icons instead of fourth)
    //- iWeather6_blk_top (black text, first row of icons instead of fourth)

    It is all documented inside the readme.txt and configureMe.js files...

    I hope this helps!

    Hey evilshade, i love your weather widget!

    The only thing that bothers me a bit is that sometimes the weather text is almost in the 'next day' icon
    Like 'Mostly Cloudy', the last Y is touching the icon of the next day.
    Is there a way to put the weather text under the big icon? And then the city text a little bit bigger?

    And maybe weather changing backgrounds?

    Thank in advance mate and again, good job !!

    Yes, still having trouble understanding the string in the file for my location. Can someone give me an example of how they did it, is it some kind of secret?

    Is this where you set the location in the .js file "var locale = "85250"? Do I use my zipcode?

    Yes, that is where you set the location. Your US zip code should work out great! It accepts string values too... Here is the section of the file that shows some examples and the line that is adjusted.

    // Examples for the "locale" variable:
    // '20603' - US zip codes...
    // 'Defiance, Ohio'
    // 'Moscow, Russia'
    // 'London, UK'
    //
    //Change Your City / Location
    var locale = "95014" // "95014" seemed like a fine Default - Cupertino, CA

    Changing locations daily won't be the easiest thing the current way the "backend" file needs to be modified. I started work on an iWeather Control Panel app -- sounds like you will be interested in that one.

    If you tried moving the widget to the top, you will probably want to install iBlank so that you can "reserve" out that row apps with bogus/blank app icons. It works like a charm.

    I hope this helps!

    I'd be very interested in the control panel app mate

    Installed iBlank and it's looking very nice now, thank you very much.

    Hope to see the control panel app soon

    Default Yahoo weather source?
    Did you remove Yahoo Weather as a source? It's no longer in the ConfigureMe file. Is there a way to still use Yahoo? I hate AccuWeather; the temp is always wrong.

    It wasn't removed, I just moved that variable over to the Wallpaper.js file so the normal configuration file was easier for people to adjust.

    I think I have since decided the ultimate way to make this easy is a Control Panel app for it...

    First off I love this widget it's great work. The only problem im having is with the background. I can't seem to get my backgroun to appear, either I get a black background showing the weather widget or i get my background and no weather. I set the background in settings and resprung but no luck. I also tried repkacing the 103png or whatever it was on the first page of this post. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    The current version is designed for used with iOS 4. I am going to do some testing with a 3GS running 3.1.3 and see what the best approach should be for you.

    Accuweather is USELESS, it's been saying that it's sunny in London all day yet it's been pissing down with rain for the last 3 hours!

    Just checking it again and it's still Sunny!

    Hold the front page, it's just changed after three hours....Accuweather fail.

    Still agreat widget though Evilshade and i'm looking forward to the Control panel.

    Evilshade: Any chance you can add the time stamp of when last updated was or allow for a refresh arrow so we can munually update weather. Like poster above, weather temp and icons are so inconsistent with the true weather condition. Thanks.
