Mobile Substrate and UIKit Tools help.

i have an ipod touch 3g firmware 3.1.2 and cydia has been buggin' me to update mobile substrate 0.9.3228-1 and uikit 1.0.3231-1. but i read somewhere one of these updates screws up the icons in 3.1.x firmware. which one was it? and is it fixed now? is it safe to update now? help please. i don't wanna end up restoring.

right now i have mobile substrate 0.9.3209-1 and uikit 1.0.3198-1

I do not have a ipod touch 3g but I have an iPhone 3g with 3.1.2 with Mobie Substrate 0.9.3228-1 and UIKit Tools 1.0.3231-1 and have no problems.

Hope this might help but don't know about ipod.
