Loading Changes Tab in Cydia takes minutes
The title really explains the problem. I get the spiral saying loading changes and it last much much longer than it should. I was wondering if any had a solution to this or knew how to clear out the cache/package list for the changes tab. Thanks in advance, I just cant seem to find another forum with someone whose had this problem.

Happens with me to, except it takes more like one minute. You just gotta wait it out. Its probably taking so long because you have so many packages installed.

Edit: So I've found a solution! To all people suffering from agonizingly slow cydia reloading here is how you empty all of cydia's cache to give you a clean start.
Step 1: Navigate to /private/var/lib/apt/list and delete all files except for the partial folder.
Step 2: Go inside the partial folder and delete all files inside
Step 3: Navigate to /private/var/lib/cydia and delete the metadata.plst
Step 4: Open Cydia and be Happy!Last edited by mrmeku; 07-14-2010 at 04:44 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Maybe try deleting
Var/cache/apt*delete both*bin*packages
Var/lib/dpkg*and delete both*"old"*packages
hope that helps

you dont have to delete ALL of that, you can just do this:
1) Navigate to /private/var/lib/cydia
2) Delete metadata.plist. Make a backup before.
