cydia stucks at "Downloading Packages" .. no errors

When I add any repo/source ..
it stucks at Downloading Packages without giving any errors ..
I hav been waiting for 2-3hrs..
no response ..
I'm getting dis problem from last 2-3 days..
Don't know whts happening..
I had this problem in 3.1.2
nw upgraded to 3.1.3 same problem..
is it cydia bug or anything else..???

Same problem here, I just noticed it today. I have an ipod touch 3.1.3 jailbroke with spirit.

Did you ever tried to install a package manually over the shell?

Mine was workin and my wifes was workin till last night hers is a 2g and when she launches cydia it the app just shuts down or loads for 2 sec. THAN SHUTS DOWN CYDIA mines a 3g and it just sits there idling at downloading packages

Yes I can install packages fine, I just can't add any sources.

Okay. what do you see when you type

apt-get update

on the shell as root?
