trying to reinstall cydia... but open terminal keeps losing communication

okay....... so heres a list of events that happened over trying to do stuff on cydia..

1. i tried adding a new source, but it always got stuck on "downloading packages" and never resolves. usually to get out of it i have to restart my iphone. this pretty much happens for every source i try adding

2. i read somewhere that i can go into var/lib/apt to delete everything in there except for the partial folder. i deleted the stuff inside the partial folder by accident though =/ not sure if that had another effect

3. so it still gets stuck on downloading packages, and i also lost all my sources from before. i've decided to try and just reinstall cydia instead.

4. seems like one of the solutions for reinstalling cydia are:
1) Open Terminal on your device or through SSH
2) Type the following commands:

su
alpine
apt-get remove cydia
apt-get install cydia

3) Reboot

... but every command i type into winSCP open terminal i get this message saying "Host is not communicating for more than 15 seconds. Still waiting..."

=(... is there any way to reinstall cydia without SSH? im not sure if a method using cydia would work because i lost all my repos (even the ones that came with cydia).

hopefully there is a way to fix my open terminal problem instead?

any suggestions? =(

Did you ever find anything out on this issue? I'm having it now myself. Hope you found a fix and hope you might be willing to share any details on it.

no solution yet =(. since theres a new update for iphone ill probably just rejailbreak it once its ready to be efficient lol
