I'm having the same problem with my iPad. How can I go to "private/var/lip/apt/lists" when I can't even install SSH? I have no packages/sources listed. Nothing at all ;(

Didn't appear to work for me. Should I reboot after I delete those files? I closed Cydia, deleted those files, re-launched Cydia. Same deal. Ideas?

Something else may be causing the issue then. And yes you should reboot after.

this didn't fix it for me....

in my case it happen after updating:

    - Music Controls Pro

    - PkgBackup

    - ilocalis.com

    - App Quit activator

    --------------

I was able to fix it using Limera1n to re-jailbreak and all my sources / packages / changes appeared again and I didn't loose anything ....

This happened to me to, but in addition to all of the above, Safari didn't work, and every time I re-booted, it would take 5 minutes, and always boot into safe-mode.

I removed all of the files in that folder using iFile and Safari's now working. Now I can see all changes, but the list of sources is still blank, and Cydia crashes when entering list of installed packages. And I still boot into safe-mode.

    Have I missed anything?
    - In advance, thanks.

    EDIT:

I removed some sources I had recently added using Cyfix. Cydia now works great (except I can't add any new sources) but I'm still troubling during re-boot, as it takes much longer time than usual, and immediately goes into safe-mode. I've tried removing some packages from Cydia that I added before all this stuff happened, but nothing works.
