Cydia just stopped working

i know this is already covered and i searched for it but dont know what topic it falls under. well my cydia just stopped working one day. would open up for 2 seconds then return to home everytime.

i was going to do everything all over and completely reboot my phone but problem is that my itunes is updated to 8.2. got to a friends computer with 8.1 but then a message comes up that my phone only works with 8.2.

so im kinda stuck. hacked iphone with cydia not working firmware 3.0.1 on tmobile sim

Restore and Jailbreak again...Use Blackra1n and Blacksn0w

how do i restore it if i have itunes 8.2? wouldnt that not allow me to jailbreak it?

I am quite aware of how to jailbreak and can even get my iphone 3gs out of a "bricked" state. but what I can't figure out is after a perfect JB to JB using pawnage tool 3.1.4 to 3.1.2 firmware. after a couple of days cydia just quit wanting to opem?... I did the most logical thing that has worked in the past and that is to uninstall the last app that went in before the problem and reboot.

That normally solves it but now.... no way. funny thing is..ICY and all the other programs are working?

anyone with insight as to my outsight please let me know what to do just shy of a rejailbreak (wich I did but did not restore) please let me know.

same here, and i never had icy intalled. but decided to after i rejailbroke my phone and cydia still didnt work. and i think i like icy better. it has less but more simple and easy to use. cydia is real messy

Well icy is themes version of cydia in a alternate world. U canter anythingu get in cydia but you just hVe to know whY it is. I tried rejbing through blk rain but no luck. I a
wondering if I did a rejailbreak without the restore .... Would it return?

Cydia hasn't been working for me either the past couple of days, I'm wondering whether this is a problem for everyone or if I gotta rejailbreak my ipod.

Same problem - cydia opens and crashes. I know I'm stupid regarding all this. I have been reading the forums n tried nearly everything. Can I just start OVER? I jailbroke mainly so I could tether and get forbidden internet at work. THAT still works using PDAnet. I WOULD like to have Cydia back though. I have 3.0 running on 2g with Windows. I DONT want to loose my tethering but willing to do a restore. I just cant understand all this stuff. I learned to jailbreak from youtube. No other problems.
