Cydia error: Database

I have a 3GS with 3.1.2 FW. I have installed iSSH 3.5.6. Have been using it for a month now with no issues. Then suddenly 2today ago I started Cydia and it gave me this Error: Database. Encountered a section with no Package: header.
After okaying that error another popup opens giving a list of sources that it was unable to fetch. I tried for a couple of hours and every time the list of error sources seem random.
After all this my cydia shows blank with no sources, packages, changes etc. I cannot access my Cydia. How can I access the folders that

First of all how do I access the ISSH and how do I use it and look for folders and delete the files. If you can walk me thru it. I'm lost with this. If there is anyone out there that can help me. I thank you in advance.

ssh into your phone var/lib/apt/lists delete everything in there OTHER THAN the partial folder, respring voila!!!

yeah that worked like a charm. didnt even need to respring. just deleted all that stuff with iFile then reopened Cydia and it refreshed itself and viola everything was back and ok again YAY!

jailbroke my phone with blackra1n.com. installed cydia and rock, but i have no sources for either. should i restore in itunes and re-jailbreak? any other way without SSH? need help, any advice would be greatly appreciated. i have a 3gs. thx!

I need help with the same thing. Cydia crashed. I have a 16gig 2g iphone on 3.1.2. unlocked with blackra1n. I dont have installer or ssh on my phone. I have tried win/scp but it keeps kicking me back. I have read the forums and watch the videos on youtube but in am stuck. I even went to black weather and ran blackra1n again. Still stuck. Can you help me?

I did that with blackra1n didnt I? Or do i need to restore a different way. Can i get Icy Or Rock somehow without using Cydia?

restore your phone in Itunes and try again, that's all i can tell you. There maybe another way but idk.

Well, I restored and ran Blackra1n again. Now i have lost my unlock. can you help me with that?

No. Blackrain jailbreaks your phone which in turn allows you to unlock your phone using blacksnow. You have to add the blacksnow repo in cydia and then install blacksnow through it.

i restored my iphone using itunes. so now I guess re-jailbreak it using blackra1n again?
