can't install cydia wih red snow

i just jailbroke my phone using redsnow twice in a row, both times it says it succesfully jailbroke the phone and reboots fine. i both times selected install cydia and did not install icy. Upon reboot there is no cydia icon. can anyone help me i am running firm ware 3.0_7a341?

whats the best way to verify the software did what it intended?

if th ephone is jailbroken except for cydia not being installed how can i tell, and if so is there an easy way to install cydia by itself?

resn0w gives you the option to check a box to install Cydia, do you check it?

I kinda have the same problem,,, but i have cydia icon but cydia will not load and just crashes instantly tried clearcydiacache.exe but i cant get that to work and it gives me a send error to microsoft?!? 3g on 3.0.1 and on xp ?!

i definitly checked the install cydia box both times.how do i verify my phone is jailbroken? i've been trying to use winamp to load music on to it but winamp won't recognize it, i didn't want to take that as an indicator of anything though because winamp had trouble recognizing it before i jailbroke it.
