Cydia doesn't work any more - immediately opens login window

After touching the Cydia icon, it pauses for a few seconds and then pops up a login/password window before I can do anything. If I cancel, Cydia fails to open and just throws up an error. I don't have a login and have never made one. I have google dozens of pages and can't find any mention of this problem.

maybe you have mAdvLock or something like that, I've opened mine right after read your post, and it's working, I'm using the last version and I don't see anyupdates.

my phone is doing tha same thing. like 2 days after i jailbroke and now cydia wont load and i cant make calls out, like when i go and click on my "phone" icon to go to contacts and call list and stuff it does the same thing. i need help!

^I would start with a restore.

I was getting this error when i was using WIFI that required a proxy to login to the internet.

The username and password it was asking for was for the proxy, up on entering it i was just getting the blocked page from the cache anyway.

I disconnected from wifi and it worked fine over EDGE

if i restore will it erase all my numbers and stuff?
