Adding modmyi source?!
Hi new user here. Been scoping the site for a while but finally decided to register to ask some questions! Hopefully someone can help!
Ok so I jailbroke my 2.2.1 iphone about a week and a half ago and installed a bunch of apps and other features. Much better then a non-jail broken iphone for sure lol Anyways, I somehow got these 4 empty icons onto my Springboard. When I clicked them, they led to some weird site. It doesn't bother me too much as I just leave them on a blank page. But in my effort to try to figure out what caused the problem, I deleted a couple apps through Cydia and "Makeitmine" app was one of them. Seeing how it didn't fix the problem, I tried to reinstall it but I just can't seem to find it anymore!! So I came on here to research and I've read that I may need new "sources". Well I do believe I had the Modmyi.com source before but now i don't! I tried adding it and it says it isn't found!! So pretty much what I'm wondering is how I can add the Modmyi.com source AND get back Makeitmine so I can change the crap I wrote on the top lol.
Also was wondering what are some other good sources worth adding to get other cool apps?
Sorry for the long read!!! I'm still a complete jailbroken newb.
no one has an idea where im coming from? lolLast edited by 54321bam; 02-25-2009 at 12:04 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

uh modmyi source is packaged with cydia. um there is a "all sources" in the source tab. and those invisible icons are just blank icons so you can arrange your icons in diffrent ways, they are usualy just stupid bookmark icons but transparent. errr. and to add a source in cydia just go tosources than edit than add
Hey! A Restore Never Hurts

You sure? It works just fine.
Try searching Cydia for uh... dTunes. If it comes up, you have our repo installed already.

When i tried running terminal on my iphone, and type "apt-get update"
all my sources appears to be fine except modmyi source. It shows
the following:
Failed to fetch http://apt.modmyi.com/dists/stable/m...rm/Packages.gz
Host Unreachable
Is it possible to install erica utilities via iphone terminal?
If yes, what command do I need to type? Can anyone help?

If your looking for the main WinterBoard app which controls all the themes then you have to open up cydia -> sections -> system. You can find WinterBoard there under system. Hope that helped!

Best to wait a few hours and see if it resolves itself.
