Cydia wont start at all!
last thing i remember doing is installing a source. well i let someone else install it because it worked on their 3g. i have a 2g on 2.1. now when i go to open cydia, it looks like its about to start up and then it just shuts down. i tried canceling the update, didnt work. tried the apt-get stuff, didnt work. im on windows xp pro. i need help asap cause im on someone elses cpu and i dont have one of my own....
also, ive tried downloading a new 2.1 and 2.2 firmware but when they complete, instead of saying whateverwhatever.ispw it says iPhone1,1_2.0.1_5B108_Restore. and its zipped up. when i unzip theres alot of other little misc. files but none about a ispw.

i found this but im not sure if its what i should do but its all ive found in 3hrs...
1. Plug into iTunes and sync your contacts.
2. Press restore an let iTunes do it's thing.
3. Download quickpwn 2.2 from our download section.
4. Run quickpwn.
5. Set up the phone as NEW in iTunes and recync your contacts.
6. Manually redownload all the apps again from Cydia.
now my phone is stuck in dfu mode and the firmwares im downloading arent coming in a .ispw format. so the winpwn and the other thing isnt working. ive tried on windows xp pro and mac book.... SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!Last edited by leonmitchell; 01-23-2009 at 09:16 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost
