it crashed on me too a lot of times today. i rebooted and it seems a bit more stable, but still slow (no crash yet, but i haven't tested it hard). i also added a couple of repos, but it's hard to believe that it's the new repos fault. if cydia accepts the repos, they should work fine with cydia.

Possibly running
(orCode:aptitude update
) on the shell (as root) can tell you what's wrong, provided it has something to do with your selected sources.Code:apt-get update

I chose to do a complete overhaul and did a shift restore and it did nothing to correct cydia and now I do not have terminal. Anybody know where to get it from without cydia??

Ok I've had same trouble since I installed the flash video function. I noticed it can help if u run cydia in safe mode. Not sure y. If that fails start removing sources. Cancel the update when cydia first starts. I had to remove iphonehacks.nl rupert gee and many of the foreign language support ones. Hope it helps

I finally got mine fixed by rejailbreaking but if you do it you also have to unlock the phone or it will not work. The down side you have to reload all your stuff.
