Default iphone wont reboot after cydia update?

hi, i have an ipwned iphone running on 2.0.2, and when i went into cydia today , there was a thing telling be to upgrade four things. so i did, and silly me, i guess i shouldnt have, because when it was done downloading it said "restart springboard" so i clicked on it, and it took a while, but after five minutes or so it went to the booting screen. now it has been stuck on that screen for about two hours now, and no matter what i do, i cant get it to start up. every few minutes, the screen goes black like it is turning on, but then it goes right back to the booting screen. can i access the files via ssh or total commander and delete files that might be causing a problem? if that doesnt work, what will?

    thanks a lot,

    matt w.

is there any reason you are not on 2.2? everything is way better and much more stable. you might want to start there
