    Exclamation Cydia crash

    Hello!

    I updated to 2.2 yesterday.

I had some problems with categories so I restored it to factory defaults before jailbreak. Jailbroke it and everything was fine.

Installed a couple of applications and cracked mobileinstallation.

This morning when I tried to run cydia it just kept crashing to the homescreen.

I tried removeing cydia through ssh and reinstalling it, with the same result.

I found these lines in /tmp/cydia.log.

    Code:

I spoke with Saurik about it, gave him all my error reports and what not, he said he was able to figure out something that has been confusing him for a while, and it will be fixed in the next Cydia update. He didnt give me a fix though. I ended up doing a restore, and all seems to be working fine now.

I'm going to use the terminal and apt-get until it's fixed then.

    Default fixed it

Had the same problem (Cydia asked for Graphical, Command Line Mode etc. and crashed after selecting) - fixed it via running QuickPwn, now it works normal (and all synced data are always there from the PwnageTool and restore before).

Truth I saw that page this morning and it didnt work maybe because I didnt delete the stuff in the partial folder.....man thanks alot for the heads up I just reinstall my iphone back to factory but I know now for future. The remove program feature is one thing I miss from ppc because I would remove the program and then just reinstall it.

If this doesnt work for you, try this ~ "another way to fix cydia on 3.0 is to go to on winscp (windows users) and look for /var/lib/dpkg/updates. and delete all the numbered files such 0000,0001,0002 etc. and it should work fine. worked for me atleast."

Not mine either, but it worked. I found it under the post in the above link.

Default Cydia crashes - loading data

I have restored my iPhone 3Gs so far 5 times today. I Jailbreak with Blackra1n. I click on the Blackra1n icon and install Cydia. When I click on Cydia the first time it says it reorganizing and will shutdown when complete. Now is the problem, I click on the cydia icon after its reorganized and it starts to download packages and a window pops up saying

    Error: Refreshing Data

    "Failed to fetch
http://repo.smxy.org/cydia/apt/dists/xena/Rlease.gpg NetDB: Opennodename nor sevname provided, not known"

    "Failed to fetch
http://repo.smxy.org/cydia/apt/dists...slation-en.bz2 NetDB: Open nodename nor servname provided, or not known"

    "Failed to fetch
    http://ispaziorepository.com/./Packages HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found"

    "Failed to Fetch
http://repo.smxy.org/cydia/apt/dists...s-arm/Packages NetDB: Open nodename nor servname provided, or not known"

Some index files failed to load, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

I click okay and the Reloading Data window pops up.. Then crashes.. I can click on cydia a hundred times and it just opens the loading data window then crashes.

    Help please...

I have tried restoring the phone then jailbreaking it and then tried to use winscp to get into the phone but the connection is always refused using the wifi ip root and alpine.

The only thing I have to work with is when I open cydia the second time, after it has be reorganized i click cancel up at the top where it says downloading packages then I can open the options below, manage sections, search.. I tried to delet the bottom source zz something but it always ends with the loading data screen and a crash..

    Please Help.
