Or you could just install the Safari DL BossPrefs patch, and turn it on and off as you please.

Dtunes help!!
SERIOUS DTUNES ISSUE!!
How do I create a thread??
<See my problem I am having w/DTUNES.Was messing around trying to delete something and I either deleted or saved and next thing I knew, NOTHING could be found in dtunes, but everything is still taking up memory on my device. PLEASE HELP..8G!! No biggie if I knew ehere it was and could delete it....but I am not a tech geek..I'm ok at figuring stuff out, but not this good..tried eveything..I dont see how all this stuff could be taking up 8G of memory on my device, yet I cant even find the stuff or know where it was moved to....Grrr
Everything was stored in DTUNES...like I said, I somehow was playing around trying to delete something and I ended up saving/or deleting something and next thing you know EVERYTHING was gone, but STILL TAKING UP MEMORY meaning it is somewhere on my device. But where?? I searched and came up with nothing...I know stuff is stored in var.mobile/downloads/library, BUT HOW THE HECK DO I GET THERE ON MY DEVICE??

Dtunes help
I have SSH installed on my ITOUCH, but I have NO CLUE how to use it. I am not a tech geek unfortunately. I am 100% beside myself as to how I can have 8G of data from DTUNES 'move', I guess is the right word, since the data is still on there, but I cannot find it anywhere on device or on my comp.Im ready to blow my friggin head off. RESTORING is not an option! I have no clue how to use SSH. How does one even start a new thread on here? Can ANYBODY help with this DTUNES ISSUE? 8G on my device that I cannot find!! If I could, I would just delete it all and redownload stuff.BUT WHERE THE HECK IS THIS 8G of DATA??

Dtunes help
NO WAY....Restoring is not an option...It took me FOREVER to get on 3.1.2 and working right...no way am I going thru thatb again......that was a 2 or 3 week nightmare getting 3.1.2 up and running properly.....
Nope.Downloaded iFile and all my missing ipa's and mp4's showed up in iFile. Too bad I cant figure out how to transfer them back to DTUNES. But the MP4's play just fine on iFile so not sure if I really need to transfer them to dtunes or not.Last edited by 1970itsme; 11-22-2009 at 10:27 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Transfer then to var/mobile/library/downloads

SSH Quick Lesson:
Go to:
WinSCP - Free SFTP Client, Secure File Transfer Protocol, Secure FTP
Download the 4.2.4 Beta (it works fine), and install with default options.
Do the following:
Settings app --> Wifi --> Blue arrow next to Wi-Fi you are connected to --> get your ip address.
Open WinScp --> input ip address of your iphone/ipod touch --> enter username "root" (w/out qoutes) and password "alpine" (w/out quotes)
Click Login
Navigate to var/mobile/library/downloads
Everything you downloaded should be there. If not, and you know where it is in the directory, move it to here and it will show up in iTunes.
Hope this helped
