Jailbroken/Unlocked iPhone 3G with turbo sim Cydia Problems?

I am having some issues with my unlocked iPhone 3G with the turbo sim. Everytime I try to open Cydia it would just boot me back to the home menu. I had someone try to help me but so far we've had no luck. I have been searching like crazy but came up with nothing. I am afraid to restore the phone because I do not know if it will brick my phone cause I'm unlocked by the turbo sim. Can someone help me or confirm if the iphone will brick if I restore with the unlocked turbo sim? Would be great if you could help me over aim, as that would make things easier and faster for me.

there is no such thing as bricking a iphone.
i ahve restored my one about 45 times with many probs,will restore in the end.

best is forget cydia do not jalbreak the iphone,keep it original ..

reason for that is registe the iphone with itunes it will ask for credit card.
there are thousands of free apps you can download from itunes once registered.
also warranty back intact

also you should update to 2.0.2 new firmware will fix most known bugs.
mind you you if you dont like the original,then you can always go back to either version 1.4 which i think was good,least buggy,there are many programs out on google
