Cydia Wont install any apps (no errors though)

This is weird and i hope someone has an easy solution. I just got a 3g iphone with 2.1 firmware. jailbroke it with pwnage on my mac. Everything was fine i downloaded winterboard and a bunch of other essential upgrades with cydia. I dont recall doing anything out of the ordinary and later that day i had an update available for one of my themes. I go to install it and the screen with the blue install bar across the bottom (the running screen) stays black and nothing comes up like anything is actually downloading. the install bar finishes and it says return to cydia. Nothing ever gets installed and no errors ever pop up. It does this with all the apps ive tried. Any solution would be great!

well my friend got the same problem !!! we did restored few times but everytime the same thing. The only thing that installed were bossprefs, bosstool, power tool thats it
