Default No Sound Cydia to blame

This is the second time this has happened to me but after I have jailbroken my phone I have sound coming from the speaker but once I run the Cydia updates I have no more sound except for selecting ringtones. I have tried the earbud method by unplugging and plugging multiple times that is a no go. I have tried restoring and that is a no go. I know the speaker is functional if I go back to the factory firmware or the first quickpwn firmware before updates sound works.

I also started receiving an error saying that this device is not compatible and would I like to put my phone into airplane mode.

    Looking for a solution. Thanks.

I went through the jailbreak process again and I notice the error happens when you switch the phone to vibrate.

I am having the opposite problem. My phone will no longer function in a silent mode. All the sounds still come out of the speaker no matter which position the vibrate switch is in.

    Thoughts?

I had that problem all I did was go to Settings-> General->Reset->Reset All Settings.

    Sound came back. On 2.0.

Exactly what was said above. Reset all settings and this should fix the issue. This puts back all factory plist files (including sound plist) so unless there is a hardware problem this always works.
