My sounds for text messages don't stick

Hey guys, not sure what else to do, I just upgraded a few days ago to the 2.0.1 or whatever the latest is, anyways, the only sound that stays is some weird sound that says" uuuh ohh" type of sound??? Wierd,it sounds like a Telly Tubby, and it's freaking me out! hehehe No! But, anyways, i can't even hear it when i get a text, and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions or anything you think i should do??
I've already tried the settings-sounds- and checking which one i want, that doesn't work! I tried the customize-phone sounds, and the system sounds, and checked whichever one i want, and that also doesn't work??
So if anyone can suggest something, I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance! Muuuuuaaaahh!!
