The only thing I don't like about Cydia is that it's not a 100% easy solution to installing packages like Installer was. Installer was just tap, tap your done, it contained easy to understand descriptions, details, and all that jazz.

You open up Cydia and you get all these utilites that sound like "Unix" codenames, what's up with that? Why don't they just put NORMAL names with a detailed description, why do they have to make it so elite that people without a brain can't use it? lol. I get that this is a hacker community thing, but COME ON even Installer had some class that beat that.. that's why everyone preferred it.

Make Cydia easier and simpler to understand and I will use it RIGHT-AWAY-SIR!

Cydia doesn't have any option to add sources from its interface, after installation of apps Phone crashes (sometimes while refreshing), interface still sucks, hundreds of un-necessary developer tools(for most of users) installed....n many many more bugs Cydia has.
I simply love Installer. Do the dev-team have had any trouble with nullriver team??? then why didn't they ported Installer(most popular & with most apps & resource addable) with their pwnage 2.0? rather providing boaring n buggy Cydia instead... very funny...
We want our good old Installer back ( may be installer 4.0 on its way already )

n who da hell cares abt being open source....

Stop hating each other...n think abt us n be competetive....

CHEERS!!!

Installer sucks for now. Its BETA. It has A LOT of unsolved bugs and I hope, when RipDev will fix all the bugs,it wll be really cool. Cydia is allright for now.

In the old 1.1.* days I would have said that Installer was better than Cydia.

Now I must say that Cydia is by far the better installer. What I have seen so far from Installer 4 is crap. The only good thing you can say about it is that is looks OK graphically, function wise its sucks. For instance it messes up the graphics when you add new installer sources. You can tell it is still a beta.

Cydia in the other hand is a weel working installer program and now that we can add more sources to it the usefullness has really increased.

Go Cydia.

You are so wrong!!! In the old version of Cydia which you could install on 1.1.* iPhones you could not add sources. In the new Cydia that you install on 2.0.* iPhones you CAN add sources. Just click on the Manage tab and then you can choose Sources to add new sources.

This tells me that you probably haven't even tried the new Cydia at all.

I think that ALL Apps need to be ported to Cydia for 2.0.x users. I know that I would love PSX4all but it's only available on Installer, we just need the Devs to hurry up!
