GBA, NES, gameboy4iphone, Cydia not working, any advice?

I jailbroke my iphone about a month ago, i have 1.1.4 firmware, and just have realized the full extent of the possibilities. I have watched like 30 youtube videos on how to put NES GBA gameboy4iphone. i made the folders in mobilefinder, put them under media, when i go to send share to download the GBAs or what ever i click media but there are no folders. So that didnt work, than i tried gameboy4iphone, so i went to download cydia [installer option] but it says "download failed!" (damn the exclamation point) no when i try to download any app it says "download failed!" oh and it takes for freeking ever to download ANYTHING!!!!! perhaps because i downloaded all the sources? my main questions are
1.should i download to get NES GBA, etc. and
2.has anyone had that problem that has fixed them.
3.how can i get cydia

ok first of all go to var/media and thats where you make the ROMs file
