Who else is excited for the Hunger Games movie
I always get edgy about good books turned to movies because so many things make them go wrong. Example would be His Dark Materials. That was a great series and when they released a movie I was excited. It turned out to be so wrong and most likly will never see the other books come to life because of that.
Another example (although it isn't a book but a tv series/book): The last Airbender. The director tottally ruined everything the series was in just one movie.

My friends wouldnt shut up about it forever ago. It takes me forever to finally getting around to reading their sugggestions.
I would recommend His Dark Materials trilogy also. Amazon.com: His Dark Materials Trilogy (The Golden Compass; The Subtle Knife; The Amber Spyglass) (9780440238607): Philip Pullman: Books
(Was going to link to the wikipedia site but seems work now blocks wikipidea.

Wanted to see it Friday, but large amounts of schoolwork prevent me from doing so. prob will next week.
All the girls i know want to see it for the love triangle.
All the guys want to see a bunch of people thrown into an enclosed space fighting to the death.
Its a nice balance.

Didn't read the book but saw the movie (I don't have time to read any books nowadays). Movie was great. Loved the action and the "romance" that was between the characters. I had a great time.

The first book is actually pretty short. Like 300 pages.

just saw the movie, its pretty dang good. Could have been better, but it also could have been much worse.
I enjoyed it, to say the least. Cant wait for the sequel.

Trying to get my wife to read the first book before the movie cause I don't want her bugging me through the movie with questions.
Almost done with second book. It is super slow at first but the second half of it is is pretty sweet.

I heard the books are a lot more detailed than the movie
