    Default Redmondpie = Malware??
I just tried to check RedmondPie's RSS feed, and a malware warning page popped up on Safari (on my mac). Luckily I can still access the page, I just have to get through two prompts that say that the site is on Google's list of malwary sites. This is weird because I was on there earlier today with no issues.. Anyone else get the warning?
And it will be like a taco inside a taco within a Taco Bell that's inside a KFC that's within a mall that's inside your dream! Springboard screwy after reboot? Here is the fix

No warning here. I visit that site daily and have never seen anything like that

Be careful, the warning could be fake. It could be disguised malware

    Ugg.... yeah.
    You are correct.
redmondpie.com IS listed in Google's malwary "bad site" registry now.

Possibly listed in error, but here's the full scoop.

Google Safe Browsing diagnostic page for redmondpie.com
Google Safe Browsing diagnostic page for AS31815 (MEDIATEMPLE)

From what I can tell, the Google complaint is that Redmond Pie's web hosting company seems to be hosting a large number of subdomains which recently got h4xed, and apparently pretty bad.

Other sites on the same network (possibly even running on the same physical machine) as Redmond Pie's are distributing malware, probably because their VM has been compromised.

    The Good News is -
Google reports that Redmond Pie hasn't served any malware themselves in the last 90 days, or at any other time ever.

    The Bad News is -
Their hosting provider evidently sucks, or else they host a whole bunch of other sites which suck and have never been properly secured.

People using Internet Explorer or some old broken version of Safari - won't see any report or warning.
People using Firefox or some newer versions of Safari - will see a big red scary banner when they try to view the site.

    Redmond Pie

There's nothing Redmond Pie can really do at this point.
They can wait, and hope their provider fixes their other customers or they can get a new web host.

    sad face.

    THANKS!
looks like the google safebrowsing report I posted yesterday was a little old.

Your FB post doesn't really explain what happened though; was it the "front end" of the VM itself that got compromised? Or the backend server farm? It seems more likely the latter since a whole slew of other co-hosted systems got hammered all at once.

Either way, sorry to hear. Glad things are somewhat better now.

    Thanks for letting us know.
