Lecrae is my favorite rapper! Totally agree.

Secular music... I'd have to say Eminem. Dude is just insane.

The best in Hip Hop is definitely Kanye, his production puts him far ahead of anyone else. But as far as lyrical talent, which I assume is what you mean, I would have to say currently Drake. He might be getting a little to commercial though and I think J Cole will be the next, next big thing until he gets to commercial. Have to say Jay-Z still lays it down, so does Eminem, but I can't say either are the best right now because of how good they were at their peak, it skews my view of them a little.

Wale ended up being somewhat disappointing, had high hopes for him. Wiz has still not followed up on making another hit, I hope him Curren$y and Big Sean go through with their collab album though, as Big Sean has been one of my favorites for a few years and he finally broke thorugh.

Oh, and have any of you checked out Childish Gambino? Donald Glover from Community's rap name. He is really talented. Not the best but still good.

I'm going to go with Lil Wayne, im sure its going to cause a lot of **** about this and that, but i think his ability to pull together some of the greatest talent in the music industry weighs into my decision a lot. Not only has he went platinum with a few records, hes picked up Drake, Niki, Twist, Shortdog, Mack Maine, Gutta Gutta, and even Chanel and Chuckie were good.

Wayne has never had a hit by him self, he gets carried by far superior rappers. He did an amazing job signing Drake, and if you see the details in that contract it was one that will either revolutionize the industry or be a complete failure. Drake owns his own songs, that is unheard of (awesome, but unheard of). He sacrificed a lot of money to pull that deal in. As for the rest of that list, no one besides Nicki Minaj will ever be known publicly. Lil'twist sounds like a baby, his verse on The Leak gets cut out when they play it on the radio. IDK who Shortdog is. Mack and Gudda are really not that good, would never waste my time to even download one of their CDs, don't mind when there in a song but still not good. Even Gudda's bedrock verse was pretty bad. Chanel would be washed up but was never good enough to be washed up, and who is Chuckie? Not to mention the horrocity that Birdman is. He is the all time worst. Drake didn't even let him be on his new album, he barely let him talk over the end of one of his tracks. He ruins so many good songs.

I agree with what you said about birdman, which is why I didn't mention him. Mack, gudda, and short are all pretty incredible. It just depends what you like, if your into the radio hip hop then I could see where your coming from. Those three are real rappers. Chuckie and twist get credit because they are 16 and 12, and already have some ok stuff out and are at least making a name for themselves. I dont see any other kids making moves like they have been, and if they are you'll hear them once and never again. As far as Wayne, yeah lately he's done a lot with other people I'll admit but the old lil Wayne is the one I'll always know. His old rap is better than anyone hands down. Not to mention Wayne has about 15,000+ songs, who even comes close to that?

Not into "radio rap" occasionally there are some ok songs, but generally no. but not into their fake gangsta ****, they are just as bad as rickey rosey ross. If you wanna compare a group like YMCMB I'd say they don't compare to Good Music, even though a few of their best have left recently. Lupe, Rhymefest, Big Sean, John Legend (not rap but still great) Common (hes not a rapper, hes an actor who raps), Malik Yusef, and of corse Kanye. Or RR when they were together (might be back soon???) DMX, Jadakiss, Drag-On, EVE, and of corse Swizz Beatz (ok hes not a good rapper really, but one of the top producers). I would even go as far as saying G-Unit was better than YMCMB, 50 (old 50 before the beef with Game), Game (before and after the beef), Lloyd Banks, Yayo and Buck were ok, but better than Gudda Gudda or Mack. Idk about D12, as they were really only great together (yes even without Eminem). Wu-Tang is a little before I really got into rap so I cannot comment on them. The point is YMCMB is a joke IMO, its really Drake leading the way with Wayne riding his coattails and a bunch of randoms who are not even allowed in the VIP.
