Real estate, baby.... and I'm not talking houses.
I'm talking monitors.
I've had some great Macs in the past (17" flagship models, C2d's), but nothing compares to a good monitor in "user enjoyment". I've never had a "large" screen before, but that changed yesterday.
I traded one of my iPhones for a 24" LG LCD panel SEE HERE (but priced as much as 1,300.00 HERE )
I never knew how much a difference the real estate makes in the enjoyment factor of a big screen. For one, I have windows and MAC open at the same time dragging and dropping back and forth since I needed to use winblows for the magic ISO program. No switching back and forth between screens to get to each one. SO much of a convenience there.
If you are thinking of upgrading your computer, before you do....you might take a look into upgrading you monitor first. I noticed that the features of my MacBook were not being use to the greatest of their abilities until I got enough real estate to actually use them.

Look how wide the forums are. Great stuff.

quality of monitors does drastically help. At home I use a Sony 21" HD monitor and at work I use (2) 21" widescreens. So i know exactly what you're talking about

real estate required. My desktop is running a pair of 21" lcds. Now I just need a couple more monitors for my laptops. Someone should make an ultra portable monitor for laptops.
