Default Prepaid SIM cards in the US (CA)

Hey guys. I need a bit of help. I am in the US (CA) for the first time in a long time and I'm looking to buy a prepaid SIM card (preferably with unlimited data) for the next two weeks, as I don't want to use my roaming (expensive!!!).

    What would you guys suggest?

    Thanks!

Go to T-Mobile USA, ask for an "Even More Plus" plan. That's the only way to get unlimited data without a contract (that I'm aware of).

On both the GSM networks in the US (AT&T and T-Mobile), neither offer prepaid unlimited data. In the case of AT&T, they don't offer unlimited data plans, period.

EDIT: I am assuming you have a GSM-only cell phone. If you have a CDMA-compatible phone, Sprint (or one of its subsidiaries like Virgin Mobile) is a solid choice.

Yeah I can't really enter into a contract. I'm only here for two more weeks. Haha.

    Yes I have a GSM phone (ultrasn0w unlocked )

So I guess it's either T-Mobile or Virgin then huh? Thanks.

Why make it so complicated though? I mean in Europe or Asia, the moment you land at the airport, you can buy a SIM card off a vending machine.

More like America, where we, ten years later, still don't have decent prepaid options, UMTS visual calling, and have exactly one carrier now (assuming Tmo and ATT do in fact merge) with the license necessary to install GPRS/EDGE/UMTS broadcasting equipment.

And pay more for less like freaking champs.

Oh, and our carriers are a--... buttholes about letting unlocked/"alien" equipment on their systems.

EDIT @ OP: It's T-Mobile only. Virgin Mobile is CDMA-only.
