Xbox 360 on laptop

Is it at all possible to play an Xbox 360 on a laptop? Just wondering for when I leave for college and can't have a tv in my room.

You can play an Xbox with an hdmi cable and no av cables... My laptop does have one of those. I was wondering if there was software or something that would allow this to work

On Macs, you can, but you need a software for it. For PCs, I don't know, but it's possible; it is likely that it will require a software.

Hm it doesn't seem possible on a laptop but looks like you can do it on a computer monitor, and that's not against the rules in my dorm!

I've used my LCD monitor alongside my xbox 360, but it has S video cables. Possibly try and find a VGA to S cable adapter at Best Buy possibly?

Could try to find a monitor that has HDMI input. I got a 19in one that I use for my ps3 every once in a while.
