A pleasure to meet you(s)
Hey everyone,
I just signed up for these forums, I thought I'd give a shout out. I've been sharking the internet for forum-based sites regarding Jailbreaking with knowledgeable users, and I was fortunate enough to stumble across modmyi.
I recently dumped Verizon after 9 years and camped out at the Apple store for the iPhone 4 launch, and I can't believe I went so long without one. As the months have gone by I've come to embrace its functionality and ease of use... but I now find myself wanting more. Hearing reports of applications (such as Activator, FolderEnhancer) that offer functions that would make Steve Jobs crap the bed, I started looking into what it was all about.
I find myself here. I know of the different programs, the general overall installation processes (DFU mode, blah blah blah), and that's about it. I'm currently looking into how safe it is to restore should I need to take my phone into Apple, how to properly back up pictures, video, apps, etc. Don't worry, I'll be trying my best to follow proper forum etiquette; reading stickys, searching for threads, etc. But if I say some really dumb stuff, just let me know.
So, thank you all for being here, and I look forward to the future.

Rule 1: StealthBravo is always right, you can't win with him
Rule 2: Never listen to zeal, he's the class clown; at times I doubt he even knows what a iPhone is
Rule 3: There is a really cool guy named Waldo, press the thanks button on all of his posts
Rule 4: There's some cranky old lady named blkcadi who likes cars, she just broke out of a asylum
mod edit, corrected the spelling of my name, lol
Rule 5: you need to get 99% of your posts in this thread: http://modmyi.com/forums/chit-chat/3...ic-thread.html and get in atleast one good argument thereLast edited by whereswaldo; 11-30-2010 at 08:02 PM.

Cadi sounds like someone I'd hang with on a routine basis.

Yeah, from what I've gathered I'm not going to use the one that's out as of now. I'm not into the tethered thing, I don't have time to constantly re-jailbreak the phone. I can wait until I see enough people telling me what I need to hear; I don't know enough yet to make a conscious decision.
As for the number taking, I'll follow protocol and wait. Aside from my actual career, I prefer to work under the hood. I actually just got done with a stroking out a 95' Impala SS (not mine, sadly) with a buddy of mine. I've always liked GM products.
Also, I just noticed this thread was moved. My apologies, I tried my best to locate a social forum.Last edited by Lombardo Joe; 11-30-2010 at 08:16 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

The best years, '95, 96. SO sad they stopped making them. My son had a '96 Caprice wagon that he put all the SS pieces in the interior, but put a crate 502/502 in it. Really cool cars.

A few years back, I had a friend with a green 96'. He put his whole life into that car. It was to this day the best I'd ever seen for that edition. When they brought the SS back a few years ago, I was kind of upset that threw that 5.4 in and made it front wheel drive... That and the Monte Carlo were disappointments for me. Your son's Caprice was nice; I like the color scheme.
