    Default iPhone 3g, Any Good?

I have an oppertunity to buy a iPhone 3g for 175 CDN. Is that a good price, theres no scrathes and comes with a case, Are they anygood or slow? The main reason i want to buy it is to Jailbreak and Unlock it and then resell it for 250. Advice?

Well if you want to unlock and sell it, make sure that it doesn't have the 5.14.02 baseband. It'll just be a whole lot easier if it's an earlier one.

I couldn't recommend it whole-heartedly as a full phone replacement, though, as it's a bit slow (due to little RAM) and I think Apple is starting to slowly leave it in the dark, in favor of encouraging iP4 upgrades.

I don't know if it's just because of my area or what, but I can get a decent iPhone 3G around here for 140-150 easily, sometimes lower. I've sold a couple for around 180ish. The price is getting lower due to the age of the phone. People don't want to dish out a lot of cash for the 3G when they can get the much faster 3GS for maybe ~50 bucks more. It's up to you! If in your area you can sell it for 250 easily, go for it.

The more complicated work around, yes, but it would be more ideal for the future buyer if it had a legit unlockable baseband. That's why I said it'd be a whole lot easier if it was earlier.
