Yes apple bluffed with teh you update your phone gets bricked if its unlocked. but i really believe that they never will totally brick your iphone because

1. they will be losing a customer
2. they could be in for a lawsuit
3. theres pry more but i cant think of and i gotta go right now so will post more later
