I live in NJ and have Verizon FIOS for home tv, phone & internet. The router they provided sucks and I want to use my own router. I get poor Wifi coverage at home and I think it's due to the router they provided me.

Is there a way to just get a modem from them so I can provide my own router? I used to have Cablevision and they just provide a modem.

Any recommendation?
