iPhone jailbreaks PS3

With the source to psgroove out, a lot of people are porting the playstation 3 jailbreak to different devices!

So far they have PSFreedom which works on nokia n-something lol and on the palm pre.
Xda developers have also ported it to some htc phones including the nexus one.


But muscle nerd is working on an iPhone version now. Go to his twitter page to see the work on progress.

Thing is there was a new update from Sony just recently patching this, does this mean this loophole is now closed? Not sure if its as simple as " just dont update" as most games require you to update =\

Yeah that is the big issue with it that sony blocks you from online gaming if you don't download the new FW. I have also read they will permaban your psn account for using the JB dongle.

From what I have read about this so far it seems that it will setup so your iphone will act like the usb dongle that provides the jb to your ps3. If so that would be awesome not having to pay a 120$ for the ps3 jailbreak dongle.

You can store your games on your hdd which allows for faster game speeds and also less wear and tear on your laser which is a huge issue on ps3s. You can also run home brew apps.

It's not all about piracy, that's like claiming the iPhone jailbreaks are only good for piracy...

It's not what I really meant but you can't pirate without a jailbreak so like it or not both will always be put next to each other.

That's cool about the saving the games to the HD, I do it all the time with anything I play on the 360.

Running games from HD provides faster load times.

But brining back the Other OS option is a feature many are wanting back.

I been looking constantly on multiple sites to see when they will release the port for iphone. They have a port for a calculator, other phones, ect. I dont have any of the ones mention but an iphone so i can not wait. My cousin is supposed to drop off a blackcat usb so i can see what this jailbreak is all about. Cant wait to see what this will bring!!! I hope my ps3 still turns on as i havent use it for 2 years i believe.
