Dont supose anyones good at restoring computers ?
okay so i was on one of my asus laptops... its got 2gb ram, 180gb sata hdd, model is asus X5OR well what happend is... my laptop wasnt connecting to my wireless so i thought id restore it of a disc that i had of a friend ages ago to update my old xp... the laptop was on vista home premium and im prety sure this was home premium too.. it was resotring or whatever then i think it got too hot or sumit and it just crashed... whe ni booted it up it goes like put in your help cd that came with your laptop.. but ive lost it... ? eny ideas on how i can fix it with out like having to ring up asus and them send me out a new disc ?

Try booting Vista into Safe Mode.

you can try installing ubuntu... if you dont know what it is, google is your friend.
