Default Just built a new system for Windows 7
So I was dual booting XP and the RC of W7 on my desktop computer and yesterday I got bored and figured it was time to rebuild and upgrade my system to the final version of Windows 7 64-bit.
    Case: Antec 900 Gaming case
Power Supply: Antec True Power 750W
CPU: Intel Core i5-750 2.66Ghz... currently over-clocked to 3.80Ghz stable.
    Motherboard - Gigabyte P55A-UD4P (extreme over-clock capability)
Cooler: Cool Master Hyper 212 plus
    RAM: A DATA - 4GB DDR3 2000
Video Card: ATI 4850 HD (same as before)
HDD - 300GB WD Velociraptor 1000 RPM boot drive
HDD - 500 GB WD 7200 RPM data drive
    HDD - 1.5 TB Seagate - Blu-Ray storage (interchangeable)
    Optical - LG Blu-Ray Reader/Writer

I've never built a computer, I've always wanted to an I plan on it when I get a little bit of money saved up. I do have a question on why
you used a 300 gb hdd instead of a solid state disk? I was under the impression those were faster and more reliable and that's what I was planning on using for the boot drive but like I said I haven't built one yet so I haven't done any research

In retrospect I probably should have spent the extra money on a SSD for my primary. $329 for a 128GB SSD.... so $100 more than I spent on the 10K RPM 300GB drive. That's nothing when you consider the total cost of the system.

I did some Futuremark tests last night. My CPU scores kicked butt... my video scores weren't that great b/c I'm running a slightly older card.. but since I don't do any PC gaming or video rendering I'm more than happy!

That sounds like a beast still, what will you use it most for?

4850 is the best card I've ever had. Almost 2 years old now and still handles everything like a champ.
