When did you jailbreak your first iPhone?
My 2 year anniversary is tomorrow, thanksgiving day, good times... I actually jailbroke my brothers, a few minutes before I did it to mine, haha.
So guys, when was the first time you jailbroke an iPhone/iPod Touch?
EDIT: 1st gen 1.1.1

Don't remember the date, but it was a 1st gen silverback. I still miss that phone although I cannot say I miss the pain in the butt that it was to have to jailbreak it.

^ so true, I got mine for Xmas 07 and jb about 2 weeks after. You had to like make an emergency call and all kinds of crazy stuff, very nerve racking but worth it to have those ants on your screen and idigger!! Lol

I bought my first gen on eBay and jailbreaked it the first chance I got it. It was an OTB 1.1.1 using the old school methods. Those methods scared the hell out of me.

I bought mine from apple.com as a refurb. It was a silverback on 1.02. I wanted one, but I was waiting for it to be unlockable first. As soon as it was I bought one. The funny part is that it cost me more as a refurb ($249) than my new 3gs ($197).
I don't miss jailbreaking via command line.Last edited by soulthoughts; 11-25-2009 at 01:13 PM.

In some ways I actually do miss the days of jailbreaking. I had that great feeling of success when I had jailbreaked it properly. Now it's literally clicking with a mouse.

Somewhere in May. The first jailbreak was very exciting, but now, the excitement died down.

I am new to the the site, and find it very useful, i first jailbroke my ipod touch actually like 2 months ago. i got it from a present from my gf and i was very nervous on jailbreaking it. it took two days of researching it until i found a very easy way to do it in which the computer does all the work from me, lmao it took literally five minutes to do it, and it was months of just thinking of doing and chickening out lmao.
i am very glad i did it. anyone interested in my theme i am working on i have a post explaining it.

I always feel sorry for the guy in the iPhone commercials. He always gets a call right in the middle of trying to do something
