I have had this compaq presario 6010us destop for a while, it has bad motherboard . I have been looking on newegg for new motherboard but to be honest im confused on which will be compatible. Also will i be able to use my exixting CPU or will i have to get new one . It runs on 1gb memory , i wouldnt mind getting 2 or 3 gb . And last question will i be able to use my original installation cd with OS ( xp) or will i have to get new OS.
If anyone could help me out with this i would really appreciate it.
If include some link from newegg to stuff i need would be even better.

well it probably, since your equiment im guessing is older, requires PCI and NOT PCI express. It probably requires a celeron or pentium, or something equivelent.
