Internet Addiction.
Now this is a relatively new concept that I stumbled upon in search for help with a Facebook Addiction. An addiction being an action or behavior that one desires to rid themselves of but can't seem to (I.e. Sex addiction or drug addiction).
Now my current question is one that I've searched google for but to no avail. Are our mobile devices (I.e. iPhone or Blackberry) furthering this problem? Have any of you noticed that you spend more time in the virtual world due to your iPhone?!
I certainly admit to it and have started tracking my daily usage in addition to my PC usage. On days off this can collectively range up to 9+ hrs a day. My recognition of this problem came about because of the expansion of my social circle. I no longer have the time to live an active social life, do well in school, and surf the internets. I am now trying to downsize my virtual self, but I don't want to get rid of my iPhone!!!

lol, thanks for your response. I suggest that you never give up your iPhone!
I'm curious though as to whether or not anyone else has kept track of their iPhone's use in combination with their PC use (Ehem, excuse me. Mac use.), and seen if they spend more time in the virtual world than in the real. I certainly do 4 days a week. School is the real reason why I have an excuse to sit in front of my computer screen and continue to look at all the various forums I belong to and Facebook my brains out. The iPhone allows me to do this in between classes, at work, and while eating my morning cereal.
I do have a will power though and I will change my habits that I've developed. I recognize that this is only a problem if you see it as a problem. My problem is that even as I'm typing this, I should be studying for a Spanish exam that I'll probably fail due to my lack of will power when it comes to studying and my craving for the exploration of the internets!Viruses
