Mousetrap Car

So I gotta make a mousetrap car for school, and I'm betting that a bunch of people on this site have already had to do this and probably built some pretty cool ones. But I've decided to put a little spin on it-I'm going to be the first at my school to make a mousetrap motorcycle. I'm thinking of using a wooden yo-yo for the front wheel. Also, the teacher grades these by distance (10 meters=A/every meter over 10 is one bonus point/school record is around 40 I think), so I'm gunna want to make one that goes pretty far. Any ideas or suggestions?

My lab partner and i used part of a fishing pole because we thought that it would flex and then really slingshot it forward... It didnt work lol but we didnt really have as much time as we thought and didnt take it as seriously as we should have. Good luck with yours though! I hope it breaks the record!
