well its nice of them to make something to atleast restore the phone back to like-new state so we can reunlock or do whatever with a working phone, since as they said alot of ppl are doing this, which means even more sales for apple but bad for att.

Correct. Except for those of us on non-ATT plans, a re-lock is no good at all. Then we have NO phone, not just a phone not running the most-up-to-date firmware.

No big suprise to me. Even before I had the assurance from poetic_folly, I was quite sure SOMEone would come up with a workaround sooner than later. Until apple comes out with a new model of the iPhone requiring a testpoint (like motorola) there should be nothing hackers can't workaround on this thing

When asked what he would say to the columbine killers, Marilyn Manson said, "I would say nothing to them. I would listen to what they have to say, because that's what nobody else did" from the movie Farenheit 9/11
