I do not have trash nor a recycle bin (VMware). When you delete something the purpose is for it to be gone, otherwise you wouldn't throw it away. In both windows and in OSX I have checked the little box "delete immediately and without confirmation, do not move to trash or recycle bin".

I can't find that option either. I am not sure I would use it tho. Sometimes I get delete happy

Well now that Snow Leo makes everything services I am in the process of re-learning how to make it since I have to write the automator action through services.
