I like the ones with 4 hoofs. The ones with 4 wheels, not so much. If there was ever a stereotypical vehicle for an individual, this one wins. Camaro a close second.

I booked a Mustang (8 mths prior) to do a road trip from LA to New York last March, always wanted to do it in a US muscle car, my wife & I arrived at Budget LAX & told us there were none available, even though 3 Shelby's sitting in the car park... We got a Toyota soft top instead. A little disappointing but the best 3 months on the road I have ever had.

The 69 was by far my fav. Really regret even selling it.
I found the car behind someone's house under some trees. Appearantly the guy and his dad used to restore cars......his dad passed away and well this was sitting here.
It had been sitting outside for several years but the trees actually kept it protected. No major rust damage at all!
The kicker.....I paid $700 for it

The car had the ORIGINAL paint still on it......never wrecked....all original parts! The woodgrain on the dash still looked like new.
Of course it needed a ground up restoration but it was worth it.
The sad part.......I sold the car.......several years (about 5) later the guy called me and said someone stole it from his house
He had 3 69 428's and several other cars in his collection.

What a great story, have you ever heard anything more about it. Checked the Marty report ((not sure if that's how you spell it)) to see if it's still alive?
Was it a Georgia car too, must have been to be kept so pristine while stored.
I've had quite a few of those, "dam I wished I never sold it cars" myself over the years. For me the one that got away that I kick myself in butt for is a '69 Hemi 'cuda rag top, plum crazy rocket ship, and I'm a hard core GM gal too. Live and yearn. lolz

It was a GA car before and when I bought it. The guy I sold it to lived in Wisconsin. Bought it "unseen" (well in person, only threw pics). He was a lawyer and sent a car carrier to come and get it.
I'll admit I love GM just as much....ya you shoulda kept the cuda.
I had a 68 Camaro RS/SS Red with black stripes also. Another I wished I had kept
Also had a 97 Camaro SS at one time back in 98. Had a 66 Nova for a bit with a built 383.

^ yummy, makes my blood boil for sure. Cars, they are indeed my life. Growing up in my Pop's shop and playing in his garages since I can remember. I was the only child (adopted tho at 2 y/o) and I think he thought I should have been a guy. He has pictures of me at about 3 y/o cleaning parts and sanding fenders up in his office to this day. I treasure it for sure.
