open iTunes and sync than hit "restore".......

does that mean everything will be back to stock
and i ll have to free the phone again?
basicaly go thro all those step to unlock again? (that is what i am looking for)

restore while it's on "sync"???

just hit restore it works like a charm

The restore doesn't get rid of all the preference files and a few other directories.
I was trying to wipe mine today so I can send it back for apple to check the battery. I had to go in and manually delete a bunch of stuff.

Yes, this will restore your phone..

However, if you have Jailbreaked your phone, it will re-lock it.

This will not RE-LOCK the Iphone though.

It will, but your baseband will still be modified, and when you update to the new firmware this week, it will pick that up and BAR your phone.

So, Please dont update .
