Forced to EDGE

This suddenly came out of nowhere, but I am being forced to use EDGE
instead of my wifi at the moment. A restart didn't help (of the iPhone)
and the router is less than six feet from my iPhone and the iPhone showed
a signal strength of one earlier, though it is back to full now. Still, forced
to EDGE. Any ideas? I tried turning Airplane on as well, but no luck.

had that before...went away. pass protected? re-enter password / link to router...worked for me
