Have you tried deleting the Mail accounts and re-creating them from the iPhone?
And please only post your issue in one place!

Back up everything and do a restore. It's always a good way to fix things and, if that doesn't work, you probably need to exchange it.

When you restore, it still doesn't work? Or are you saying you don't know how to restore?

If i restore on itunes, all my new apps (including installer) are gone-back to factory settings. i can't keep re installing everything - theres gotta be a better way. My email is still dead and accessing it freezes my phone - gotta power/home key every time- n/g

So you're saying even after a restore, the email freezes whenever you try to access it? If so, I'd do an exchange through Apple.

Ah I see. I don't think you're doing anything wrong. What were you doing when it stopped working? Did you install anything recently? And again, you said you can't delete the accounts from Settings>Mail?

Its fairly easy to install Installer.app using AppTapp once you restore, and then you can simply reinstall your programs. It will take around 20 minutes.
